Itinerary:

Day 1: Fes – Middle Atlas Mountains – Merzouga Desert – Camel trek and overnight in the Berber tent:

This Morocco Holiday Tour Fes 3 Days starts: We will pick you up at your Hotel/Riad and will leave Fes travelling towardsIfrane, a beautiful mountains village, referred to as “the Switzerland town ofMorocco” and then on to Midelt. During this journey you’ll experience glimpsesof the Middle Atlas and Higher Atlas mountains. Stopping at Azrou, a Berbervillage in the middle of famous cedar forest – the largest in Morocco – whereyou may well sight Barbary apes. After sometime within the forest, your journeycontinues to Midelt along the magnificent hills and mountains of the Atlas, after Midelt town you will be travelling through the fascinating TiziNtalghamte pass and the Ziz Gorge, taking in views of the High Atlas plateau, you’ll notice how the scenery changes to reveal hints of the desert as youapproach the city of Errachidia, here you will have lunch and enjoy the Berberhospitality.  Afterwards, you will travel along the luxuriant Ziz Valley,stopping for panoramic views along the way to Erfoud and Rissani. Arrive atMerzouga on the afternoon. You’ll be welcomed with a glass of mint tea beforeyou camel ride, guided by an experienced camel man to explore within the goldensand sea of Merzouga, and dinner in front of tent where you will spend thenight, with dinner and breakfast.

Day 2: Merzouga Desert – Nomads Families – Mifis – Khamlia – Erg Chebbi:

This is a complete Desert day. “Date with the sunrise”  If you are In the middle of the desert, it`sabsolutely worth getting up early to contemplate the most spectacular sunriseyou´ve ever seen at the top of a dune close to the camp and enjoy thislandscape that is a gift of nature. After sunrise we return to Merzouga on thecamels where a hearty breakfast is waiting for us.  Then we`ll skirt theErg-Chebbi, great extension of sandy desert where we can see the Big Dunes ofMorocco. Which has more than 250mts high, then we continue by the road that wasformerly used for the “Paris – Dakar” and ends in the mountains that limit withAlgeria. Stop at Tissardmin oasis where we can find fossil quarries stillpresent in the area, we continue then by a road where we can see nomadsettlements and learn their secrets and manners. Then next stop, you will see good apanoramic views of all the Erg-Chebbi dunes, We`ll reach then Kamilia Village, originally from  Mali, where we´ll take a relaxing cup of tea meanwhile welisten to a concert of the spiritual music of Gnawa. Then Transfer to youraccommodation and free afternoon to enjoy the town or the dunes next to the hotelto see the sunset, overnight at the Hotel with dinner and breakfast.

Day 3: Merzouga Desert – Ziz Valley – Cedar forests and monkey troupes of Azrou – Fes:

Once ready, we start our last day to the north through the Tafilalet palm grove, the biggest in the world. You´ll see thousands of palm trees along the 20km of road.  This way leads us to the Ziz valley, which river comes down from the high Atlas and feeds the palm grove. Here we make a stop and from this high viewpoint, enjoy a magnificent view of the valley and the town of Aoufous.

  We make another stop in Midelt, just in the heart of the Atlas whereyou´ll have free time for lunch and rest for a while. In the afternoon wecontinue our way through the Cedar Woods where, if we are lucky, we´ll see somemonkeys. The next place we´ll visit is the city of Ifrane, situated in thenorthwestern slope of the Middle Atlas at 1630 meters above the water level.Its broad avenues, its urban development with perfect cleanness, the gardens,the green areas and its architecture make this city look like a Swiss town. Ifranefeels misplaced in Morocco. That’s why it´s named the MoroccanSwitzerland, and if that´s not enough it has an important ski resort,Michlifen,
About 6 pm we arrive at Fez,  transfer to the hotel.
